Chris S. Sherwin RLA
Chris S. Sherwin, RLA is the managing director of CSS D/S LLP with over 22 years of professional management experience within a wide range of project types from commercial properties, tenant improvement, wineries, life-style centers, and high-end residential.
He is well versed in project and firm strategic planning as well as maintaining successful customer relationships along with a detailed focus on the design-build project delivery method. As a senior technical leader in the field, he combines his expertise and research into detailed design, BIM documentation, design build workflows, drone data-set implementation and optimization, and project life-cycle management.
Chris' specialization is understanding the needs of the client and project and then plotting a course for completion in a timely and effective fashion. He works with clients and project teams to manage, communicate, and deliver a high-quality finished product while under tight deadlines and budgets.
Additionally, he is conducting research into the utilization and realization of nascent UAV applications for project work-flows within BIM environments. He hopes to implement UAV turn-key services for clients who wish to utilize Autodesk Recap and BIM environments efficiently.
Chris holds a MLA II from the Harvard Graduate School of Design and a BSLA from the University of Oregon. He is also a licensed and registered FAA UAV Drone Pilot 107 and a State of California licensed and registered Landscape Architect.
